It seems that English is an almost exact copy of Latin! Many words are very similar, if not the same. To name a few examples: injury - injura; acid - acidus; day - dies; form - forma; fruit - frux. Forgive me if I misspelled some of the words. It's an interesting observation nonetheless.

I also checked out a French word in the Latin translator found on the nclatin website, and it meant the same thing! When people said it will help me with other languages, I thought they were being corny or over-exaggerating. Now, I know they are not! Latin is secretly 3 languages combined in one, I bet you. It's a conspiracy.

Also, Magister Perkins: Go on youtube and search for the song "Hard Time Killin' Floor Blues" by Skip James. It is easily my favorite Blues song.

I Met Julius Caeser!

Yes, the title is true. We went to the square which had many public transportation vehicles: trains, a trolly, buses and a lot of taxis. My mother hailed a stationary taxi, and we went inside.

The driver then turned and asked us, being my sister's friend, my sister and me, a question in French. We did not understand, so we did not answer. He opened a drawer in the car to reveal candy, and he said, "Bonbons! Bon appetite." My mother then informed us that bonbon meant candy.

It was not until later, in Latin to be exact, that I knew what it meant! Also, bon appetite makes a lot of sense too. Good-good is a silly word for candy though. Candy sounds more delicious. Good-good sounds like melted, stale skittles in your grandmother's purse.

Salvete!

Salvete, world!

This will be the portal by which my thoughts and feeling can be easily viewed by your prying eyes.
